Our Mission

Winning With Authentically You Alliance~WWAYA is a nonprofit that provides the highest quality of excellence across a diverse community, by providing impactful family support services (due to domestic violence, homelessness, poverty, physical/sexual assault, trauma, incarceration, substance abuse, and/or sex/human trafficking), with an emphasis on the children, inspiring young people, through consulting, to attend school in order to earn high school, job training and college completion pathways as well as counseling with mindfulness, mental health and yoga practices to develop tomorrow’s leaders as productive global citizens.

OUR FOUNDER & CEO — DR. TAMMY WILLIAMS

As an award-winning educational leader, Dr. Tammy Williams is an exceptional administrator with experience as a Principal, Assistant Principal, and Teacher ensuring a rigorous educational program that graduates at least 90% or more students annually. She is a dynamic, visionary and equity-based, servant leader as well as a strong strategic thinker with the ability to conceptualize and execute actions to attain goals for all students and their families, especially the most vulnerable to include low-income, homeless, disabled, at-risk, immigrant, English as a second language, and first generation youth.

Importantly, she is an effective problem-solver with strong discernment skills to navigate obstacles and challenges. A spirited cheerleader, Dr. Williams leads with strong management skills to accentuate the best in her staff! Reducing barriers to opportunity, Dr. WIlliams is well-versed with working in and uplifting others, particularly within communities of color.

She is a results-oriented achiever, analyst, and presenter, who is a curricula developer/trainer, social/ emotional wellness educator, justice advocate, effective communicator with all stakeholders, research author, statistician, fundraiser, and grant writer.

In the area of service, Dr. Williams has received a myriad of honors and awards from various organizations to include: Soror of the Year for Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., a Philanthropy Award for her undergraduate alumni association at Cheyney University, a Principal’s Center Fellowship at Harvard University, a Dr. Vincent E. Reed Principals’ Leadership Award by The Washington Post and an “Above and Beyond” Award by The Junior League of Washington as well as a multitude of other educational, leadership and service awards.
